Rich graduated from Penn State University in 1994. After graduating, he joined a Fortune 500 company where he worked his way up from sales agent to General Manager over a 13-year career. In December of 2011, Rich joined New York Life as an agent in the Orlando General Office. Within his first two years with the Company, Rich was named Orlando's New Org Agent of the Year and achieved Executive Council in 2012 and President's Council Premiere in 2013. Rich was promoted to Partner in September 2013. In 2014, he achieved Gathering of Eagles as well as being named the South Central Zone's New Partner of the Year. Rich was promoted to Managing Partner of the Savannah General Office in 2018. He also served on MPAC in 2021. In October 0f 2022, Rich was promoted to the Managing Partner of the Norfolk General Office. With a passion for building culture, community, and comradery, expect a lot of exciting things to come in the future as Rich gets acquainted with the Norfolk General Office and the Hampton Roads area.
Since his start as a career agent in 2017, Christian R. Morton has won numerous sales awards and has qualified for Executive Council in 2018 and 2020. He is securities licenses for FINRA series 6 & 63 and has received a dual degree in Accounting, Financial Management and a Leadership Certificate from his alma mater Western Kentucky University. Originally being from Louisville, KY he has found the passion to create and grow his own team here in the Norfolk General Office where he plans to Keep Good Going!
Sean Barker joined the New York Life Kentucky General Office as a Financial Services Professional in July 2017. He was awarded the Kentucky GO Rookie of the Year and New Organization of the Year in 2017, and Associate of the Year, New Organization of Year, and Long-Term Care Champion in 2018. In addition to his many annual awards, Sean was recognized as an Executive Council Premier Agent in 2018, an Executive Council Agent in 2019, and was a Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) in 2019.
Sean joined the Management Team as an Associate Partner in the Kentucky General Office in April 2019. He graduated the 6-month Associate Partner Program at the top of the class, and after his first full year in management, Sean was recognized as the Rookie Partner of the Year for the New York Life South-Central Zone. His management accolades also include Partner of the Year for the Kentucky General Office in 2019, 2020, and 2021, and he was named the Partner of the Year in the New York Life South-Central Zone in 2021.
During his career at New York Life, Sean has acquired numerous FINRA related licenses to include his Series 7, 24, 51, 63, and 66. Additionally, he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and Certified in Long Term Care Planning (CLTC®). He is currently studying to become a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) through the American College of Financial Services.
In January 2022, Sean transferred as a Partner to the Norfolk General Office.
Prior to joining New York Life, Sean was an Economics Writer for the American Veterinary Medical Association in Chicago. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky. He is a native of Lexington, Kentucky, but now calls Virginia home.
In his free time, he enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
Ed Stein has been in the Financial Services Industry since 1974. Prior to joining New York Life, Ed was a General Agent for a major insurance company running one of the largest agencies in Virginia. He joined New York Life as a Partner in the Norfolk General Office in 2007. In 2010 Ed was promoted to Director of Development. In this position Ed oversees the implementation of all training programs and development for both new and established Agents, as well as working with our Management Team.
Ed earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami. Ed is also securities licensed for FINRA series 6, 63, 24, 7, 65, & 26.
Stephenie began her career with New York Life in March of 2014 in Southern California. In her time with the Company, she has worked in several offices including: Seattle, Tacoma, Eastern Washington, Hawaii, Raleigh and Kentucky. Stephenie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing management from Menlo College in 2013 and a Master of Business Administration from California Baptist University in 2017. Additionally, she has earned the ASC and ALMI designations from LOMA
